Maintenance Reliability and Integrity Engineer

Job Description

Job ObjectiveTo deliver Best in Class Maintenance practices and principles throughout all operations. The position will be required to define Maintenance Strategies, drive the changes and adoption of methodologies and practices required to achieve Best in Class Maintenance performance, providing technical support and reliability engineering services related to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control for Qatar Cool plants, ETSs and PDNs and ensure the development and implementation of maintenance and modifications as required.Reliability and Integrity

• Defining the Maintenance Strategies for all Qatar Cool Assets, generating the Asset management plan including value-added preventative maintenance tasks.
• Defining / writing of related procedures (Engineering and Operations / Services) to ensure that strategies are codified and fit for use by all relevant persons.
• Ensuring that the organizations Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is suitably defined, detailed and fit for use by all relevant persons (maintenance and inspections).
• Develop and manage the implementation of reliability and integrity improvement programs and liaise with Operations and Maintenance ? Planning & Scheduling teams to plan and coordinate equipment shutdowns/overhauls and turnaround activities.
• Inputting and developing processes related to work management, and develop training and coaching relevant persons to enable delivery of new or modified processes, including the coaching and mentoring of personnel in the new processes.
• Leading the use / deployment of 5S, TPM and other Lean principles to achieve a best in class maintenance culture.
• Establish and plan training that will ensure that all members of site maintenance organizations are knowledgeable of and in sync with best in class maintenance practices.
• Drives improvement to performance and compliance of Maintenance processes by monitoring and providing analyses of data collected (Including analyses on asset and production equipment performance to include asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and remaining useful life as guiding parameters in order to increase reliability of assets and equipment), improving overall asset integrity through the delivery of Best in Class Maintenance.
• Active driver to lead continuous improvement across Maintenance and with stakeholders. So as to achieve Productivity and Cost Competitiveness in all Maintenance activities by stewarding and proposing improvement initiatives to stakeholders.
• Establish and sustains the local networks for maintenance to ensure knowledge sharing and work process consistency.
• Ensures work processes are in place and effective as demonstrated by regular health checks on all Maintenance Activities.
• Conduct and provide analysis of failure data through determining and maintaining the ?Bad Actor? list and establishing priorities in coordination with operations, and provide recommendations in order to prevent the failure from reoccurring, reducing maintenance cost of associated bad actors.
• Provide input to Maintenance Planner in order to improve critical asset reliability and decrease total cost of equipment ownership assuring process safety/assets integrity.
• Develop procedures and principles for process safety, monitor and audit the compliance.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise for investigations that are required under Qatar Cools Incident Management processes.
• Undertake failure analysis by applying failure data analysis techniques, such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault tree analysis (FTA), Criticality Analysis (CA), Statistical process control (SPC) Reliability modelling & prediction, as well as Preventive Maintenance (PM) optimization in order to resolve issues with the aim to prevent recurrence of failures.
• Provide technical advice and assistance, and make recommendations based upon field observation and maintenance needs through conducting and facilitating engineering studies to determine the feasibility of introducing modification to increase reliability and efficiency of plant

• Responsible to ensure compliance to HSSE standards and requirements to make Qatar Cool a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned which includes and not limited to design, adaption and implementation of HSSE control framework, procedures, and practices in Qatar Cool.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls in order to ensure safety, legislative compliance, high quality service delivery and a responsible environmental attitude and ensure that all recommendations are in line with the same.

• Specify the Maintenance Strategies in relevant company Strategy Documents and O&S Maintenance procedures, using visual aids for promotion of consistent execution.
• Develop systems / processes / procedures for RCM, FMEA etc. to make the approach systematic in the organization.
• Implement all relevant departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Prepare relative reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet Qatar Cool?s requirements, and the departmental requirements, policies and standards.
