Partnerships and Engagements Directorate - Profile:University of Doha for Science and Technology ? Partnerships and Engagements Directorate is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Local Partnerships Specialist. Reporting to the Head, Local Partnerships, the Local Partnerships Specialist must undertake the Universitys day-to-day liaison, coordination and implementation of local partnership activities and events and provide University-wide support and advice to staff on matters relating to local partnerships.Duties & Responsibilities:This position requires an articulate individual who will build and sustain collaborative working relationships and networks with external partner organizations and stakeholders to achieve constructive partnerships at an operational level to support strategic initiatives and the advancement of the local partnership strategies.The successful candidate will contribute to the dissemination and sharing of best practices and lessons learned for planning and knowledge building within local partnership development and provide regular feedback on existing systems, tools and resources to ensure its relevance to day-to-day operations.The successful candidate will develop a comprehensive partnership development plan in line with UDST?s Strategic Plan and Local Strategies and create and maintain opportunities and engagement functionalities in alignment with local guidelines thereby implementing the techniques and approaches established to approach local stakeholders.The incumbent will contribute to the identification, design, formulation and negotiation of new projects and programs, draft concept notes and project document briefs for discussion with partners.The successful candidate will support the planning and delivery of visits and conferences held at the university about successful partnerships.The successful candidate will liaise with the Legal Directorate to draft partnership agreements required for the signature and implementation of new projects.The incumbent will coordinate technical and financial requirements and negotiate proposals to close new project opportunities and manage the delivery of professional services engagements through local partners.The successful candidate will follow up with potential donors to facilitate the donations process and maintain good professional networks and perform miscellaneous job-related duties.SkillsEducation and Certifications:Bachelor?s degree in relevant field requiredExperience:Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field requiredLanguage:Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language required.Other Required Skills:Highly diligent and knowledgeable individual with analytical thinking and critical thinking skills. An expert in relationship management along with excellent time management preferred.
