Job Description

Our company is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lifting Engineer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. As a Lifting Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all lifting operations on site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. You will also be responsible for conducting risk assessments, creating lifting plans, and providing technical support to the project team. Additionally, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining lifting equipment, as well as training and supervising lifting personnel. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of lifting equipment and techniques, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Lifting Engineer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and manage all lifting operations on site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and create lifting plans.
  3. Provide technical support to the project team.
  4. Inspect and maintain lifting equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  5. Train and supervise lifting personnel.
  6. Monitor and evaluate the performance of lifting operations and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Investigate incidents and accidents related to lifting operations and implement corrective actions.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of lifting activities.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in lifting equipment and techniques.
  10. Prepare reports and documentation related to lifting operations.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lifting Engineer or similar role.
  2. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of lifting equipment and techniques.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  5. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards.
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
  8. Ras Laffan Experience is mandatory
  9. Valid third party certification is mandatory
  10. preferable to using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
