Job Description

We are currently looking for a?Lawyer?to join our QATAR operations. Our company is an international firm and has been an established main contractor in the Qatari construction market.?Job Purpose:This role is responsible for delivering transactional documents & providing advice and counsel on corporate and commercial affairs to support the groups operations and growth by instilling compliance and best practices. This role majorly focuses on on-going legal cases and its resolution.Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible all legal-related correspondence on behalf of company.
  • Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database.
  • Conducting research in legal matters.
  • Draft, analyze, and negotiate commercial agreements such as procurement, constructions, lease, joint venture and non-disclosure.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of legal procedures and precedents to build an internal autonomous legal service.
  • Identify and research legal risks and provide counsel accordingly.
  • Facilitate legal educational communications regarding the impacts of laws and regulations upon business operations with a solutions perspective.
  • Act as interface with external legal firms on litigious matters placed within their areas of expertise.
  • Updating and maintaining status of on-going cases to be reported to all concerned parties.
  • Handle communication with legal firms and other stakeholders, etc.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Provide legal strategy and advice to group initiated legal activities.
Required Qualification:
  • Must hold an accredited?Bachelor of Law degree (LLB)?and preferable a Master Degree in Law.
  • Knowledge in Qatar Local law, contracts negotiations and bids. Familiar with the PMP Project Management System.
