ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:- departmental contact for queries on technical aspects of work between the Senior Laboratory Technicians and Medical Manager- works alongside the Management Team on projects in the company which includes selection of applicants and conducting interviews if needed- undertakes any technical tasks commensurate by the Management Team- monitors equipment operation and report malfunctioning equipment to the Medical Director- conducts chemical analysis of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases- manages in the set up, adjustment and maintenance of the medical laboratory equipment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations- analyzes the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices- monitors analysis and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs, and narratives- examines blood smear to diagnose any abnormalities- supervise blood collection from patients and observes principles of asepsis to obtain????????? blood sample- determines a final diagnosis when abnormal results are found- manages and instruct other technicians and laboratory assistants- reads the Mantoux Skin Test to confirm Tuberculosis or BCG vaccination- supervises Internal and External Quality Control Program- responsible in maintaining smooth work flow for every section- manages daily/weekly maintenance, check -up, calibration and trouble shooting of equipment- irregularities, and continuing needs- contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed- performs any other technical duties as directed by his/her superiors
