Purpose:The Jib Operator is responsible for operating the Jib during studio or remote operations.Main Duties and Responsibilities:To assist the Production Team/ Unit with checking, building, and to balance all gear prior the broadcastAssist in troubleshooting the Jib if any problems arise and provide an alternative fix including changing servos, camera, camera lens and supporting equipmentTo help choose and frame each shot, applying the technical aspects of light, lenses, film, filters and camera settings to achieve the effects describe by the show directorTo adjust positions and controls of cameras, and related equipment to change focus, exposure and lightingWork with in precise limits and standards of accuracyTo follow a shot list, while choosing the angles and distancesWorking flexible shift patterns in order to meet the demands of the operationEnsure on health and safety issues on a daily basis.
