Job Description

Purpose:The IT System Engineer will be responsible for supporting and monitoring the hardware, software and corporate networks and to ensure they are configured and working correctly. You will be required to provide 2nd and 3rd line support and troubleshooting. Perform preventative maintenance work, backup and perform other regular support activities to ensure effectiveness. Workstations, IP Telephony, video conferencing.Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and troubleshooting of enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN networks and systems (enterprise converged networks, wired and wireless)
  • Perform pro-active support functions and reporting to maintain the integrity of the enterprise network equipment and infrastructure
  • User support. To respond to Service Desk calls/requests and planned work requests. To manage such items through to resolution or escalate them to another member of the team
  • To plan, manage and implement IT projects and upgrades to meet Alaraby goals
  • To liaise with external suppliers and support agencies for the ongoing support and maintenance of relevant hardware and software. To ensure that all work and changes are performed in such a way as to minimise all disruption to existing business use
  • Designing and document infrastructure processes, procedures and standards and to maintain or prepare system and software documentation as directed
  • To liaise with users regarding escalated issues, keeping them up to date and to agree appropriate courses of?action and priorities. To liaise with colleagues and partners in an appropriate manner
  • To work alongside colleagues within the Broadcasting Solutions unit on support, development and project work where directed
  • Proven ability to adapt to a changing working environment with a flexible approach to working
