Job Description

Job Overview:Supervise the NDT Technicians and Liaise with Production/Client representative to ensure timely execution of work and compliance with procedure. Ensure timely completion of NDT result in the PCM system.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Be occupationally Qualified to internationally recognized schemes to determine competency (i.e. PCN, CSWIP, ASNT etc.) requirement and shall perform duties ethically and safely in accordance with the professional occupation guidelines.
  • Impart practical training to Inspection technicians and guide them about overall NDT work process.
  • Check and ensure proper maintenance of NDT equipment and Calibration records by NDT technicians.
  • Review Vendor?s NDT procedures.
  • Prepare internal Level-II procedures.
  • Supervise NDT Operations for the proper and timely execution of NDT in respect to quality and quantity.
  • Ensure NDT procedures are compliant to code and customer requirements.
  • Determine adequacy of manpower requirement in relationship to the Histogram.
  • Co-ordinate with QA / QC and Production Personnel regarding schedule of NDT activities.
  • Interpret radiographs as per code and customer specification.
  • Ensure safe handling of all radioactive sources being imported and exported.
  • Ensure safe usage of radioactive equipment and personnel within the yard.
  • Archive Radiographs for all projects onshore and offshore.
  • Conduct periodic review of NDT Consumables for cost reduction.
  • Ensure proper project approval of Inspection Technicians.
  • Cross check job performed by Operators / Technicians
  • Development of advanced NDT techniques to optimize cost & schedule.
  • Provide inputs during Bid to execute the project in a competitive approach.
  • Coordination with project team to allocate the resources for project execution.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • 3 yr bachelors degree or 4 yr Engineering degree
  • 12+ years in radiography or ultrasonic
  • ASNT, PCN or CSWIP Qualification Level Il / Level Ill
  • Computer Skills
