Establish and steward Industrial Hygiene protocols for the NFXP Onshore Project across all EPC Packages. including Health Risk Assessment procedure for activities, associated camps, construction, commissioning and related facilities and/or project sites.
Conduct and analyze results of personal and area biological, chemical and physical hazards monitoring in line with Project and QG IH policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements. Manage all IH related reporting for QG NFXP.
Contribute to incident investigations related to health and hygiene related injuries to ensure accurate root cause analysis. Support & advise EPC Contractor?s Health Risk and Ergonomic Assessments and liase with medical team on health surveillance per job classification and workplace exposures.
Integral part of Worker Welfare management including camps and sites and key focal point related to Heat Stress Management.
Key Job Accountabilities:
Contributes to the establishment of the project industrial hygiene management process, including Health Risk Assessment record keeping for NFXP Onshore, in-line with Project, QG Medical policies and procedures as well as relevant regulatory requirements. Supports the investigation of personal injuries and illnesses, as well as project identified health hazard risks.
Ensure that industrial hygiene procedures are aligned with Project, QG, QatarEnergy and RLIC requirements as well as legal requirements of the State of Qatar.Both at Site and Camps.
Review all Industrial Hygiene documents, systems and equipment requirements (deliverables) across all EPC packages of the project in consideration of project requirements and regulatory bodies (e.g. MoPH, QatarEnergy and Project and QG health and hygiene requirements).Provides oversight in the implementation of Industrial Hygiene requirements across all packages.
Support the EPC CONTRACTOR(s) with Industrial Hygiene matters and follow-up of injury and illness cases with Qatargas Medical and state/ legal authorities. Support the development, implementation and proactive monitoring of Health and Industrial Hygiene requirements.
Support the development of a centralized database to report, record and track all Industrial Hygiene risks and control programs, equipment calibration and records of all project inspections and audits. Contribute to periodic Health Risk Assessments, inspections,statistics and analysis, developing recommendations, and reporting to project management.
Support the establishment of Industrial Hygiene requirements for the NFXP Onshore, including tools, equipment, audits, consumables and manpower. Provides oversight, coaching and leadership for EPC Contractors IH specialists to ensure project requirements are met.
Supports the objective of the timely issuance of audits and inspections offacilities by relevant regulatory bodies to ensure all EPC CONTRACTOR(s) and subcontractors meet project, government and industry best practices. This shall include both site and camp with a particular focus on worker welfare.
Interface as key focal point between relevant health and hygiene representatives including regulatory bodies, Qatargas, QatarEnergy and EPC CONTRACTOR(s).
Identify & evaluate all potential Industrial Hygiene risks to achieve the right level of control during the EPC phase of the project and support the preparation of personnel, documentation and related requirements including resource requirements.
Advise and support the Worker Welfare Division Manager and Camp O&M Head in regards to IH subjects and scope that are interlinked with worker welfare and camps.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Science, or higher.
Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or equivalent.
15 years experience in IH related field.
Familiar with general health and industrial hygiene aspects of a large industrial setting and associated utilities. Ability to read P&IDs.
Knowledge of basic science including algebra, physics, toxicology, and biology with ability to apply this scientific data into field actions.
International project experience with Tier-1 EPC Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
