Job Description

Job Overview:Lead and drive a common and consistent risk based HSE culture throughout the projectKey Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Appointed Health, Safety and Environmental Management Representative for the duration of the project
  • Manage, monitor and advise on all matters related to the Health and Safety of personnel and issues affecting/ impacting the environment due to project activities
  • Lead and drive a common and consistent risk based HSES culture (mindset of Chronic Unease) throughout the project
  • Develop and lead implementation of the HSE-MS as required by the Contract and in line with corporate and legislative requirements in relation to project HSES Critical Activities (e.g.: Engineering, Construction, Operations, Contractor interfaces)
  • Develop an integrated approach to HSES and Hazard & Effects Management across project and contractors
  • Support the planning and execution of the internal and external HSES audit and compliance assurance programs
  • Establish KPI?s relevant to the project complete with measurement / compliance to the indicators
  • Monitor compliance to the objectives and targets, area performance goals and operating standards and procedures
  • Review / approve subcontractors and vendors for project equipment / services
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis as required
  • Conduct regular site and location visits/reviews
  • Identify and ensure suitable and sufficient project HSES resources (personnel) for adequate HSES coverage at worksites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven track record of successful project management
Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Total 15 years Oil & Gas construction & process
  • Degree / Diploma in Safety Management or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Membership with a professional safety institute such as ASSE, IIRSM, IOSH, IEMA
  • Experienced Management System Lead Auditor
