Position SummaryThe HR Manager, Human Capital (HC) is responsible for effectively sourcing and recruiting to onboarding new hires, managing goals and performance, rewarding for performance, providing continuous learning, developing talent, career and change management activities.?Overseeing the HC Team, the Human Capital Manager works closely with managers and senior stakeholders providing support across HC activities.Job Responsibilities

  • Manages the performance management cycle, employee relations issues, provides advice and guidance to line managers and senior stakeholders on employee coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintains consistency and integrity of job roles within the college through effective systems and processes for job analysis, job descriptions & evaluation, organizational structural design and organizational change.
  • Provides support and guidance to HC team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
  • May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviews and hiring, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee performance plans, (PIP), disciplinary issues/meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; creates and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.
