1. Oversee and manage allaspects of the day - to - day operations of the Surveillance and Response section including service delivery, quality assurance, human resource management, and other compliances of standards and performance.2. Lead the preparation of the annual plan and updates it continuously according to community needs and globalupdates3. Promote health care and guidance on national level related to implementation of disease prevention and control;4. Oversees the process of case investigation, development and implementation of the action plan related to communicable disease and outbreak.5. Manage the prevention, promotion and evaluative aspects of national service frameworks and strategic plans for public health, and the development of community strategies, local strategicpartnerships, and health improvement partnerships6. Plans and updates policies and strategies on national level reflecting international standards related to the improvement of the health status of the population of Qatar by controlling and preventing the reportable communicable diseases and potential epidemics7. Supervise the needsAssessment of the community, in partnership with the community, Public Health and primary Health care teams, private sectors and other agencies to facilitate delivery of public health services.8. Determine health risks to the public and prepare risk management assessment and management plans for department;supervises the preparation and updating of emergency response and pandemic preparedness plans and their testing through table tops and drills;participates in national drills related to preparedness & response for communicable diseases.9.Supervises the implementation of infection control and safety procedures in order to protect clients and community from being infected and prevent cross infection.10.Forecasts the training needs & development of training programs that will meet the needs of section and national building capacity;Actively participate in training and research when required to ensure that high standards of clinical practices are maintained within governance frameworks11. Ensure efficient collaboration with other Healthcare Professionals, Private and Public Healthcare facilities and laboratories to collate and disseminate information12. Advice on MOPH response topublic enquiries and concerns before, during and after potential or actual outbreaks / public health emergencies13. Supervises Surveillance and Vaccination Electronic System software (SAVES) for disease surveillance and outbreaks investigation and reports including the statistics and bulletins14. Manage the active surveillance supervisory visitsto ensure compliance and provision of effective surveillance15.Perform other related duties to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
