• Responsible for lead the Mechanical and Packaged Equipment team. Responsible for coordinating all aspects of Mechanical and Package Equipment design, equipment, technical and execution definition, including planning for EPC-2, Tendering, Detailed design, Procurement, Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Start-up.
• Ensures technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets, etc.) developed during EPC-2 fully comply with project deliverables and through effective collaborations and interfaces with contractor and Shareholders to ensure the Mechanical equipment and equipment scope of supply is fully integrated and optimized.
• Responsible for the technical engagement with Supply Department and Long Lead Equipment OEMs and Vendors during bid clarifications and technical evaluation, award of LLEs though EPC novation.

• Provides Mechanical (Piping, Layout and Static Equipment) and Packaged Equipment knowledge, design, quality assurance and expertise while overseeing the Mechanical and Packaged Equipment aspects of the EPC-2 contract ensuring project deliverables and schedule are met.
• Directs the stewardship of Mechanical (Piping, Layout and Static Equipment) and Packaged Equipment scope of work in EPC-2 contract, advises and recommends design procedures, processes deliverables and alternative studies, as required, to optimise project cost and schedule.
• Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Qatargas Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Qatargas Project Management System (QGPMS).
• Manages EPC-2 Contractors Mechanical (Piping, Layout and Static Equipment) and Packaged Equipment activities including validation of personnel numbers, qualifications and experience; usage of appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software; adherence with all project objectives, requirements, specifications, standards, procedures, execution plans and design verification processes.
• Assesses and validates contractor capability in providing all contract documents, progress measurement and reporting and recommends additional technical support to address gaps.
• Manages the technical attachments and scope descriptions to all Mechanical and Packaged Equipment engineering contracts and the timely delivery to all purchase orders.
• Responsible for the Mechanical (Piping, Layout and Static Equipment) and Packaged Equipment schedule and related milestones, provides data (narrative, charts, graphs, change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays) for monthly progress and stewardship reporting.
• Accountable for knowledge of and sharing previous lessons learned, capturing and communicating current lessons learned to support review teams and future projects
• Develop, review and amend various policies and procedures to ensure that all mechanical engineering references are up to date and relevant.
• Responsible to develop Qatari engineer(s) under COMPANY assigned NDP program

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 20 years? Engineering experience with detailed knowledge of Mechanical Engineering with a broad knowledge of engineering execution including design standards, specifications, codes, safety criteria, offshore facilities design, construction and operations.
• Minimum of 15 years experience in Oil and Gas
• Minimum of 5 years is similar roles
• Minimum of 2 yrs of Supervisory experience leading engineers
• Major Project (>$100M) experience
