Job Description

As QFZA continues to grow, we have an increasing requirement to build and maintain our Free Zones. The position Head of Maritime, is to be responsible to assist and deputy the Harbor Master in managing Marine Operations at the QFZA Marsa Port.? ?

  • Responsible to maintain safe and efficient port and marine operations through the delivery of effective Docking and Pilotage Services, high volumes of vessels, SPMT, Syncrolift, Travel lift etc.
  • Provide a comprehensive marine management function for the Marsa Port and establish a close liaison with the Marsa Port Operator Company Director/ Managers for commissioning and operation throughout the network to ensure delivery of a safe and cost-effective service
  • Agree manning and staffing levels proposed by Marsa Port Operator Company
  • Assist in ensuring and maximizing the utilization of common user and base operator berthing and other facilities
  • Implement all QFZA policies, especially those related to Qatarization.
