Job Description

As QFZA continues to grow, we have an increasing requirement to build and maintain our Free Zones. The position Head of Civil Engineering acts as the focal point in QFZA for all civil engineering services during all project stages. Will be responsible for all Civil Engineering Services provided to QFZA on design and construction projects which includes roads, water, drainage, TSE, surface water, structural, piling, excavation, geotechnical, hydrological, etc.

  • Participate in writing and reviewing the civil engineering part of the scope of work for project going to tendering stage, address RFI?s from ongoing construction projects.
  • Act as focal point and attend meetings with consultants, contractors, or governmental authorities, whenever the issue is related to civil engineering and needs a solution.
  • Participate in providing initial pre-conceptual design for civil engineering projects planned to be offered for design by QFZA, work collaboratively with other discipline engineers on QFZA Projects.
  • Ensures scope completeness, technical integrity, and best value for the defined scope, review designs its detailed calculations and drawings.
  • Collects and interprets engineering data, oversees project design basis, develops standards proactively manage vendor technical interfaces, leads identification, submittal, and resolution of civil engineering issues, and coordinated with other disciplines.
  • Implement all QFZA policies, especially those related to Qatarization.
