Our 378 stylish guestrooms and suites at Crowne Plaza and 307 well-appointed guestrooms at Holiday Inn are all equipped with modern amenities designed for comfort and high-speed wireless internet access to stay connected.As a Head Baker, you will be responsible for ensuring that breakfast and the buffet are prepared and presented with high quality to deliver an excellent Guest. A Head Baker will also be required to assist with food cost controls. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:? Ensure bakery of breakfast, the buffet, and/or any other meal periods are prepared and presented to a high quality and within company guidelines? Supervise staff if required? Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination? To be responsible for all bakery items? Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner? Ensure foodstuff is of good quality and stored correctly? Contribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targets? Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships? Report maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues? Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety and food safety legislation? Be environmentally awareTo successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:? Experience in 5 starts hotel/restaurants minimum 3-4 years as a Bakery Chef or similar role? Ability to lead and train others? Achieved Basic Food Hygiene Certificate? Positive attitude? Good communication skills? Ability to work under pressure? Flexibility and responsiveness? Computer literacy in the Windows environment would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:? Previous kitchen experience in a similar role? Expert food hygiene level
