Job Description

As a hairstylist in WOW Beauty Salon, your primary responsibility is to provide professional hair care services to clients. Your role involves enhancing clients appearance by offering various hair treatments and styles while ensuring their satisfaction.

1. Haircuts and Styling: Consult with clients to understand their desired haircuts or styles. Use your expertise to recommend suitable haircuts based on their facial features, hair texture, and personal preferences. Provide precise haircuts, including layered cuts, blunt cuts, pixie cuts, or customized styles. Use styling techniques such as blow-drying, curling, straightening, and updos to create desired hairstyles.
2. Hair Color and Highlights: Discuss clients color preferences and offer professional advice on suitable hair color options, taking into consideration their skin tone, eye color, and personal style. Apply hair color, highlights, lowlights, or balayage techniques to achieve desired results. Ensure proper color application, processing time, and maintenance to maintain hair health and color longevity.
3. Hair Treatments: Provide various hair treatments, such as deep conditioning, hair masks, scalp treatments, and keratin treatments, to improve hair health and appearance. Assess clients hair conditions and recommend appropriate treatments to address specific concerns like dryness, damage, or frizz.
4. Hair Extensions and Weaves: Apply hair extensions or weaves to add length, volume, or desired hairstyles to clients hair. Properly install, blend, and maintain extensions or weaves while ensuring the health and integrity of clients natural hair.
5. Client Consultation and Communication: Consult with clients to understand their hair care needs, concerns, and preferences. Provide professional advice on hair care routines, products, and styling techniques. Actively listen to clients feedback, concerns, and requests, and effectively communicate to ensure a positive and satisfying experience.
6. Sanitation and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sanitizing and sterilizing tools, equipment, and workstations after each client. Adhere to health and safety regulations to provide a hygienic and safe environment for clients and staff.
7. Product Knowledge and Sales: Stay informed about various hair care products, including shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and treatments. Recommend and sell retail products to clients to help them maintain and enhance their hair health and style.
8. Upselling and Customer Service: Identify opportunities to upsell additional services, treatments, or retail products based on clients needs and preferences. Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and comfortable environment, actively listening to clients, and addressing their concerns or questions.
9. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and industry developments by attending workshops, seminars, or continuing education courses. Enhance your skills and knowledge to provide the highest quality of service to clients and stay ahead in the industry.
