Geopolitical Threat & Risk Manager (Temporary Contract)Qatar Airways Location Doha, Qatar Category Corporate & Commercial Job Id 220000PRClosing Date:05-09-2022 * Ensure the translation of QR GS&S - Security Team strategic plans into Threat and Risk strategic plans and support their implementation * Support the Team to provide strategic outlook and forecasting in the context of global security threats across all QR stations. * Ensure a continual ?strategic? review of security threats to QR operations/people/assets within host state territory and its airspace via the Global Security Risk Register (GSRR). * Responsible for coordinating the periodic ?strategic? review of airspace and/or ground based security threats and the delivery of outcomes to relevant stakeholder groups. * Support the implementation of effective threat, risk and vulnerability assessment methodologies in line with industry best standards. * Ensure the delivery of an effective mechanism to communicate timely and accurate strategic security threat information to QR people. * Support the strategic assessment of proposed new QR stations to identify security threats and vulnerabilities in respect of QR operations, people and assets. * Responsible for ensuring the interpretation and implementation of ICAO regulations and standards within the Geopolitical Threat and Risk Team. * Ensure the delivery of an effective intelligence research and analysis capability in support of tactical and operational decision making. * Responsible for overseeing the process of intelligence collection, development and analysis within the Geopolitical Threat & Risk Team. * Responsible for the identification and assessment of emerging security threats to QR operations/people/assets across the QR network to support operational decision making and the implementation of appropriate response measures. * Ensure the consistent delivery of threat and risk assessments in line with standardised threat and risk methodologies. * Provide proactive and reactive security advice on global security issues, including terrorism; conflict; civil unrest and crime. * Maintain the Geopolitical Threat and Risk Team document library and support the retention and review process. * Ensure the delivery of timely and accurate security threat information and advice to QR people. * Responsible for preparing text amendments for T&R policies and procedures to ensure they are relevant and up to date up to date and in line with international aviation security regulations. Ensuring these are prepared in consultation with appropriate external and internal stakeholders. * Support the QR GS&S - Security Team response to the biennial IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Program. * Support the 24/7 Threat and Risk Team on call capability in response to security incidents and crisis events across the QR network. * Support the QR GS&S - Security Team emergency response functionality. * Experience in providing advice on geo-political security issues, including, terrorism; conflict, crime and civil unrest. * Experience in security intelligence analysis. * Experience in police, military, or government intelligence analysis. * Experience in aviation security threat and risk management. * Experience in coaching, mentoring and managing a team. * Experience of working in a confidential environment handling sensitive information. * Fluent in spoken and written English. * Ability to converse, influence and maintain dialogue with managers, staff and external stakeholders at all levels. * Ability to work closely with external partners worldwide. * Sound working knowledge of MS Office applications including, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Ability to multi-task and deliver requirements to deadline, including quick-thinking and response time during crisis events. * A strong grasp of intelligence and data analytical techniques and research skills. * Demonstrated understanding of threat and risk assessment methodologies. * Highly developed report writing and presentation skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Organizing/planning and analysis skills. * Works with energy, enthusiasm and is self-motivated. * Ability to work efficiently under pressure. * Managerial skills - ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
