Job Description

You are responsible for executing foreign exchange transactions, managing currency positions, and ensuring adherence to Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations. The role requires expertise in forex trading, market analysis, risk management, and customer service to maximize profitability while ensuring compliance.Key Responsibilities:1. Forex Trading & Execution

  • Execute spot, forward, and swap forex transactions.
  • Ensure competitive pricing and timely execution of trades.
  • Monitor forex market fluctuations and provide updated exchange rates.
  • Hedge currency exposures to manage risk effectively.
2. Market Analysis & Strategy
  • Track global forex markets, economic indicators, and geopolitical events affecting currency movements.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to optimize forex trading strategies.
  • Recommend currency investment opportunities and hedging strategies.
3. Position Management & Risk Control
  • Maintain adequate currency positions to meet customer demand while managing risk exposure.
  • Ensure adherence to risk limits and internal controls set by management.
  • Implement strategies to minimize exchange rate volatility risks.
4. Customer & Business Development
  • Work closely with branches and sales teams to drive forex business growth.
  • Negotiate rates for bulk transactions to attract clients.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Qatar Central Bank (QCB) regulations and AML guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate trade records and submit reports as required.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors, and financial institutions when needed.
6. Treasury & Banking Operations
  • Coordinate with banks, liquidity providers, and money market dealers for settlements.
  • Ensure smooth processing of forex transactions and reconciliations.
  • Optimize cash flow management and funding requirements for the exchange house.
