Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative Food Developer to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Food Developer, you will be responsible for creating and developing innovative food products and recipes. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences and translate them into delicious and marketable food offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for food, excellent culinary skills, and a deep understanding of market trends and consumer preferences.Responsibilities:

  1. Research and develop new food products and recipes based on market trends and client requirements.
  2. Create and test food prototypes, ensuring taste, texture, and presentation meet quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including chefs, food scientists, and marketing professionals to ensure successful product development and launch.
  4. Conduct sensory evaluations and consumer testing to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to food products.
  5. Manage and maintain product specifications and documentation, including ingredient lists, nutritional information, and cooking instructions.
  6. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for product improvement or innovation.
  7. Participate in product presentations and meetings with clients to showcase new food offerings and discuss potential collaborations.
  8. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality ingredients and ensure consistent product quality.
  9. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards during all stages of product development and production.
  10. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies and materials to promote new food products.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in food development or a similar role.
  2. Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field.
  3. Strong culinary skills and knowledge of different cooking techniques and flavor combinations.
  4. Excellent creativity and ability to develop unique and innovative food products.
  5. Strong understanding of market trends, consumer preferences, and industry regulations.
  6. Experience in sensory evaluations and consumer testing.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  9. Attention to detail and ability to ensure consistent product quality.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office and food development software.
