Job Description

About our client:Our client is a world-class integrated petrochemical plant producing high-density and medium-density polyethylene, 1-hexene and other products, using state-of-the-art technology. They have a production designed capacity of 453,000 tonnes/year of PE and a 1-hexene unit with a designed capacity of 47,000 tonnes/year. The site also has a Sulphur recovery and solidification plant, a water treatment plant, seawater cooling system, dock facilities and administrative buildings. Their vision is to grow sustainably, in alignment with Qatar National Vision and became the leader of world class operators in the petrochemical industry by 2027.Responsibilities:Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:

  • Periodic Calibration for Hydrocarbon detectors, H2s, Oxygen, Smoke, Heat, Flame Detectors, Manual Call Points and Manual Push Button Stations.
  • Periodic Inspection and Functional Test for Fire and Gas Alarm, to ensure all Safety System devices functioning as per the Cause and Effect Chart.
Telecommunication System:
  • Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Public Address and Emergency Notification System throughout the Plant.
  • Regular functional test in coordination with Fire department.
Management of Fire and Gas, Telecommunication Maintenance Programs:
  • Development and regular review of Standard Maintenance Procedures for Fire and Gas Systems.
  • Involvement and Executive Preventive Maintenance programs like creating Material Master list by providing min/ max numbers, assigning inspection frequency based on manufacturer recommendations.
  • Incoming material inspection, etc.
Requirements:
  • Min 3 years of experience withing Oil and Gas/ Chemical/ Petrochemical industry.
  • Bachelors in Control and Instrumentation / Electronic / Electrical Engineering.
