JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:Participates in studies to improve the operation and financial effectiveness of the division. Extracts financial data from various accounting and information systems.Performs financial and cost accounting analysis of data. Utilizes knowledge of the group?s financial accounting system. May liaise with external auditors for the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Assist in the analysis of financial data and extract and define relevant information; interpret data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.2. Review costs and perform cost benefit analysis related to project or company.3. Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of data reports available in the various financial systems.4. Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending and result analysis.5. Prepare budget templates and co-ordinate with divisions and departments for amendments6. Execute the financial training for budgeting or other ad hoc reporting7. Consolidate all divisions and departments reports8. Extract transactions for divisions and departments for financial interpretation9. Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make business decisions.10. Apply a working knowledge of applicable regulation; verify documents for completeness and compliance with the group policies & procedures.11. Use various software applications, such as spreadsheet, relational databases, statistical packages and graphics packages to assemble format data and reports.12. Compile, analyze and prepare financial information reports, including budgetary forecasting.13. Analyze variances to forecast and previous period results for each company in the group, reconciliation of inter-company balances between subsidiaries, assisting in consolidated accounts for a group.14. Assist divisions in financial issues such as budgeting, forecasting, and reporting15. Perform miscellaneous related job duties??
