Family and Youth Program Coordinator/Key Accountabilities: ? Research and assess existing informal educational and cultural offers for the public in Qatar to better position NMoQ education in targeting this market. ? Develop, schedule and conduct programs, classes, workshops and other presentations for youth, families, and other adult groups. ? Develop written plans for various projects ? Develop orientated resources and programmes that highlight the stories and objects of the NMoQ. ? Plan and direct all programming initiatives for the museum?s indoor and outdoor play areas. ? Identify and liaise with community groups in efforts to create partnership working with NMoQ. ? Represent and speak for issues relating to families and communities within the Learning and Outreach department and at cross-departmental level. ? Create monthly a report of programs and attendance. ? Manage all artists and educators working on the family and outreach education programme. ? Identify and recruit freelance staff in the delivery of public programmes. ? Supervise volunteers, students, and freelance staff involved in events and activities. ? Assess annual budget needs for public programming. ? Report on end of year spending for all public programs projects. ? Co-ordinate all correspondence internally and with external stakeholders. ? Write and submit regular evaluation reports on all family and outreach projects. ? Undertake staff reviews on assistant posts. Qualifications/Requirements: ? B.A. in Art or Humanities. in education or cultural studies. ? M.A./M.F.A in Art or Humanities ? desirable but not essential. ? 3 years working in either the formal or informal education sector with families and/or diverse audiences. ? In-depth knowledge of the informal learning sector in Qatar with particular emphasis on family education. ? Awareness, and ideally, experience of working with diverse cultural groups in Qatar. ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
