Job Description

Oversee and ensure that contractor and subcontractors implementation of Quality plan, ITP and Quality procedures related to Material receipt, welding, construction and NDE activities and ensure compliance with the project specification, code and standards through daily surveillance and random inspection of the work. Organize and coordinate the QC discipline Inspector(s) tasks and activities in line with project Specification, supporting and directing them in their roles, responsibilities and objectives. Oversee the verification programmes related to Positive Material Identification (PMI), NDT and competency evaluation for UT NDE technicians in relation to manual /Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT). Ensure the implementation and monitoring of NDE UT and Radiography weldment Cross Checking Program, by all parties COMPANY, Contractor and their NDT sub-Contractors. Monitor and control the implementation of the approved drawings, approved QA/QC plan, Surveillance plans, Inspection and test plans and project procedures. Review the Design Change Note (DCN) and Design Deviation Request (DDR) and ensure the documents are closed as per the Company requirement. Review engineering design documents and drawings prior to work execution and proactively address any problems. (specification requirement and Constructability Assessability).Review the Sub contractors IFC drawings against EPC Contractors design drawing. Review and verify Contractor and the Sub contractors As-built drawings against EPC Contractors design drawing, engineering packages and Local purchase orders. Ensure the tracking of anomalies and non-conformities (NCR/CAR) performed by the Contractor/ Subcontractor and ensure correct follow-up activities, for verification of closure in accordance with contractual requirement. Review and comment EPC Contractors and sub contractors progressive compilation of certification, inspection records and final documentations is in accordance with the contractual requirement for handover to Company. Monitor the fabrication Yard and sub contractors , construction activities including QA/QC function to identify deficiency and introduce corrective action for improvement. Schedules and coordinate assessments of Inspection and Test Plan activities to ensure continued compliance to the Quality Plans and Procedures. Ensure and implement the Project Surveillance plan for all the disciplines. Identify areas of concern on welding, Construction, NDE problems as they arise. Assist in determining the root cause and recommending corrective and preventive measures. Conduct/participate in CPY/CTRs project audit and Surveillance and ensure the follow up in accordance with contractual requirement. Attend and participate in daily/weekly QA/QC meetings; Attend, when requested, the various construction meetings, and provide support to the PMT in its various reviews. Works in co-operation with the site PMT Construction Managers, Field Engineers and Procurement Advisors on all QA/QC matters. Responsible for implementing and recording construction quality surveillance programs, monitoring Contractor performance and review of the Punch List submittals. Provides a liaison role between PMT Site Inspectors and their effective surveillance and punch list responsibilities.
