Job Description

The Experiential Learning Centre Assistant (ELCA) reports directly to the Associate Dean Academic and works closely with the Placement Coordinator and the Clinical Simulation and Lab Lead to support the organization, planning, preparation, and execution of teaching and learning activities delivered in the Experiential Learning Center (ELC). The activities that occur within the ELC are integral to the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs and include labs, simulations, and clinical remediation and supports. Additional activities in the ELC include practice related curricula for continuous professional development programs. The incumbent will be required to work flexible hours.The ELCA is responsible to:

  1. Support instructors in the delivery of practice learning experiences in the ELC.
  2. Support the Simulation and Practice Lead in the day-to-day operations of the ELC.
  3. Support the Simulation and Practice Lead in the organization and maintenance of ELC learning spaces and equipment.
  4. Assist with the planning and execution of the Standardized Patient Program.
