Engineer technically knowledgeable in Preparation of quotes through analysis of tender documents, quantity take off, preparation of schemes and drafting of offers in addition to offer filing and follow up to manage the daily tasks of the department in the organization
Receives projects inquiries (written or verbal).
Requests prioritization of projects from the Technical Manager depending on maturity level.
Fills projects data sheet and gather documents needed for the file.
Creates a folder on the server and copy relevant information (drawings, BOQ, Specs etc ).
Prints out relevant indicative documents for filing.
Analyzes project: mark out comments concerning typical floors, typical spans, critical areas and spans, cantilevers, planted columns, if any, and loads values.
Liaises with Contractors and Consultants to collect missing information necessary for tender.
Determine preliminary slab thickness or beams sections.
Prepares design model
Determines rate of strands, ducts, anchors, area/floor and compute required price.
Prepares design schemes.
Assists in preparing detailed quotations for approval.
Prepares projects transmission sheet to the design department to start the design accordingly.
Sends quantities to the Operational and Accounting Departments for procurement and budgeting.
Pass on the complete file information to the coordination department when project is awarded.
