Environmental Engineer - Facilities Management/Key Accountabilities:DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES* Provide technical support in developing and implementing environmental programs in industries. * Generate environmental reports as per federal and state regulations. * Stay updated with air, water and waste regulations as defined by state and federal laws. * Review and recommend improvements to existing environmental programs to reduce environmental damages. * Oversee waste management and pollution control activities. * Perform regular site surveys for environmental compliances. * Assess potential environmental risks and develop mitigation plans. * Provide assistance and job trainings to team members as needed. * Analyse root causes of environmental incidents and propose corrective action plans. * Prepare and maintain environmental documentations for reference purposes. * Assist in environmental audits and implement audit recommendations. * Assist in getting and maintaining environmental permits for industries * Plan organize and schedule, from an engineering perspective, specialized projects related to the corrective work as well as related to the planned shutdowns. * Preparation of various methods statements and procedures for the testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of QMs various assets to ensure that such assets are performing efficiently. * Reviewing of invoices related to various contracts and generation of related job completion certificates for the purpose of scheduled payments. * Control of various documents generated within the department. Qualifications/Requirements: * Bachelor of Engineering * Certification from the local regulatory bodies (if applicable) * Membership of professional institutions. (Preferred if possible) * Fluent in English-highly proficient in spoken and written English * Minimum 3-4 years work experience after graduation * Updated knowledge about current Environmental practices and initiatives (Local & International) * Knowledge of design standards and procedures, creating reports. * Full awareness and implementation of requirements of the Quality Management system and the Environmental Management System. * Good knowledge of Engineering disciplines, * Good knowledge of PC planning software in general & MS-Project in particular. * Experience in green materials selections
