Job Description

Purpose:Reporting to the Infrastructure Readiness & Integration Lead, the Engineering Manager is responsible for the project management of the construction, build and handover of the Mowasalat Depots and all transport-related infrastructure from a technical engineering perspective to support the TBS Depot Operations team in planning and operations of the facilities whilst coordinating the facilities, HSE, operations and maintenance teams.This position acts also as an interface between Mowasalat and all relevant Stakeholders at all Working Groups feeding back to Mowasalat and the TBS Project team on the status of the construction sites, its overall project timeline as well as any issues that require immediate attention that could effect the successful delivery of the TBS project.Primary Duties:

  • Project management of the construction of Mowasalat Depots located across different locations across Qatar.
  • Project Managing contracts covering the 2 types of Depot build;
o 4 Permanent; Build to Design (Ashghal & Ministry Of Transport & Communication).o 3 Temporary; Design & Build (Ashghal & Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy).
  • Close coordination with the associated organizations and their representatives (Contractors, Consultants & Architects) to ensure a smooth flow of communication that covers the status of the build inclusive of any issues that affect the handover of the Depots to the TBS operations team
  • Integrate closely with the TBS and the Supreme Committee Worker Welfare Department (SC WWD) Standards & Regulations as all Depots contain onsite Accommodation housing the 7,000 Drivers required for the project.
  • Continuous updates and meetings with the Infrastructure Readiness & Integration Lead, & TBS Management on project status ensuring clear transparency regarding project issues and decisions on services.
  • Maintain an efficient timeline of project status throughout its life cycle.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports on all technical aspects to track activities and project effectiveness.
  • Manage risks, issues and actions ensuring all are aware of imperative information.
