Job Description

Job Purpose: The Design and Estimation Engineer and Estimation is responsible for leading and contributing to the creation, development, and evaluation of designs for various projects, products, or systems. This role typically involves the combination of his/her project management skills to create well-designed, cost-effective, and feasible engineering solutions while fostering collaboration and innovation within the team. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and estimation of ELV systems -CCTV, ACS, Structure Cabling, , Public Address, IPTV, Video Intercom, Audio Visual systems) and Physical security Systems - Road Blockers, Bollards, Gate Barrier and Tire Killer.
  • Generate Take Off and BOQ cost sheet.
  • Request and validate the supplier quotation and negotiation with offer and costing preparation.
  • Analyse and validate the project inquiry, Tenders specifications, scope of work and define most suitable solution (Product architecture, solution) and deliverables according to the requirements, Value- Engineering and system optimisation.
  • Work closely with sales team on the commercial offer.
  • Regulate MOI-SSD for CCTV and regulate QCDD for Public address systems.
  • Prepare technical and Commercial proposals for Tender submissions.
  • ?Conduct Site survey when required for preparation of Cost effective solution.
  • Estimate and budget resources required for projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time, ensuring accurate cost estimates and financial feasibility.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge and expertise in the relevant engineering discipline, staying updated with the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Identify potential risks in design choices and implement measures to mitigate those risks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
