Job Description

The Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the Master Patient Index database is complete and comprehensive in all respects by cleaning up the database regularly. In addition, is responsible for making the missing entries and modifying the Health Information Systems in a regular manner and responding to system-related queries.Identifying eMPI data quality issues

  • Identifying areas wherein the database requires cleaning in order to make it comprehendible
  • Respond to queries on MPI data quality issues from end users and EHR domain sponsors and subject matter experts from both internal and other external organizations who participate in the MPI managed
  • Facilitate MPI data quality activities like rectifying/combining of overlays and overlaps, moving and cancelling encounters in the Health Information Systems in coordination with MPI inter-user community and stakeholders
  • Identifying and resolving problems pertaining to data and numbers emerging from the health information systems.
Update and maintenance of quality eMPI data
  • Manage˙ combining, moving and cancelling encounters in the Health Information Systems
  • Manage linking duplicated patient identifiers and encounters
  • Escalating any issues that emerge pertaining to the Health Information Systems to seniors

  • Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by thinking what might go wrong in all undertakings and take necessary measures to prevent them from happening.˙˙
  • Identify and report potential or actual patient safety concerns, errors and/or near misses in timely manner.
  • Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols.
  • Demonstrate a sense of teamwork and effective communication.
  • Partner with line manager to understand risks in the area of work, develop a plan on how to mitigate those risks, and develop shared accountability for implementing and evaluating the plan.
