Job Description

Job ObjectiveSupervise the preventive and corrective maintenance (breakdown and emergency)?activities for the Plants, Qatar Cool Buildings and ETS?s ( and HEX) as required. Responsible for the Electrical maintenance schedules and activities of technicians. And take charge of the Mechanical team if the Mechanical Supervisor is not available.Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesPeople Management

• Coach and mentor direct subordinates to develop their skills and ensure continuous people development.
• Lead the technician teams and supervise and execute the preventive and corrective maintenance work in buildings, Plants and ETS?s.

Maintenance & Planning

• Prepare the maintenance schedules and allocate and prioritize work accordingly.
• Create daily maintenance reports of all maintenance activities carried out and submit to Maintenance Superintendent and provide adequate training for his team.
• Buildup, implement and fill up the data into CMMS.
• Provide the Procurement team with relevant information for ordering materials for maintenance of Instrumentation and Control Systems.
• Supervise the maintenance of the fire alarm system.
• Seek out the customer to discuss challenges and use this information to affect planning and decision making.
• Develop and use systems to organize and keep track of information or work progress.
• Prepare the lists for all spare parts required for the proper operation of the plants and operational systems. Identify and monitor required spare parts.
• Ensure that proper housekeeping is implemented.

Improvement Projects / Projects

• Participate in maintenance improvement projects for Qatar Cool Building, Plants, PDN?s and ETS?s.
• Assist in inspections of plants that are under construction and participate in the coordination of maintenance issues with contractors and provide technical maintenance insights and evaluations.

Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality

• To take full responsibility for the safety of yourself, co-workers, and on-site contractors, ensuring full compliance to all QC Safety rules.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures for the department and ensure compliance thereof.
• Proactively intervening and reporting all observed unsafe behaviours and conditions ? See It, Own It ? Report it.
• Ensuring that Last Minute Risk Assessments are undertaken before all work activities.
• Ensure that toolbox talks are undertaken frequently and understood by all.
• Providing adequate ongoing supervision of direct reports and assigned contractors during work activities that are appropriate to the risk level of the activity.
• Ensure that all activities fully comply with the specified requirements of the PTW, JSA?s and Method Statements.
• Ensure that no work is undertaken outside of PTW scope. Using and empowering the authority to stop work when PTW requirements are not fully complied with, or unsafe acts and conditions are either observed or reported to them by the working party.
• Ensure that the PTW system is fully complied with and that all working parties fully understand the scope of the PTW, including the isolation boundaries. And that all requirements are fully achieved and checked before the handing back of the Asset / Equipment to Production & Distribution.
• Being always open and professional if ever challenged on your own behaviour concerning Safety, Health, and the environment.
• Liaising with the HSSE Team as required on all HSSE matters.
• Ensure that all (QC policies and procedures) safety procedures and policies are adhered to by the team.
• Comply with the ISO 9001: 2015 QMS requirements in applicable job areas/functions.
