Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (CO2 Sequestration Project)Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

  • The E&I Superintendent works effectively within established and clearly defined policies and procedures and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs.
  • Works on large capital expenditure projects in a highly dynamic team environment that has tight-deadlines, high pressure and visibility, requiring accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills
  • Will need to work from Qatargas facilities in Ras Laffan.
  • Previous Mega LNG experience is preferred.
  • Effective coordination with various Asset Owners and completion of RLIC Offplot corridor routings.
Person Specification ? Minimum Requirements Qualifications
  • Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Knowledge and/or Experience
  • 6 ? 8 years broad experience in all phases of construction planning, field execution and mechanical completion activities for electrical, control and instrument installations.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Good supervisory skills.
  • Worldwide experience working with contractors and subcontractors, in particular those involved in the construction of Onshore oil, gas, chemical and/or petrochemical plant facilities. CO2 sequestration project experience is an added advantage.
  • Middle East (preferably Qatar) 10 years working experience is preferred.
Technical and Business Skills
  • Undertakes complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance for staff and internal customers. Is expected to handle all but the most complex problems and difficulties that might arise.Takes initiatives, based on experienced gained, to deliver timely and cost effective service.
  • Planning and effective execution of Greenfield/Brownfield E&I Construction works.
  • Sets situations/issues in the context of the entire team and has an appreciation of the wider relationships with other people and organizations.
  • Works independently within established procedures, plans and budgets and contributes to the development of these.
  • Has autonomy over scheduling and planning of own work; organizes efforts of work group to achieve overall efficiency.
Job Purpose
  • Provide Company representation in executing the site activities of ESW and EPC Contractor and its sub-contractors for all Electrical, Telecom, & Instruments control and installations.
  • Leads the monitoring and oversight of the ESW and EPC Contractor?s field planning, coordination and execution activities within his area of responsibility.
  • Apprises the performance of the ESW and EPC Contractor in terms of safety, quality, cost and schedule
  • Prepares and provides routine verbal and written progress reports to the Site manager ? CO2 project.
  • Ensure that the ESW and EPC Contractor develops, implements and sustains its Safety and Quality program.
  • Ensure early completion of Pioneer/EPC Camps construction and occupancy.
