-?Maintain a high standard of patient care within the Service, promoting the concept of safe practice towards individualized patient care, using up to date treatment and protocols.- Comply with Health and Safety Legislation within the workplace.- Maintain good communication with visitors, relatives and other Services and organized bodies.- Accept personal enquiries and encourage attendance for further discussion with relevant personnel.- Work within the policies and procedures agreed by The Practice and adhere to the agreed clinical protocols and guidelines.- Provide information and advice to patients attending the Service and over the telephone.- Use the concept of reflective practice to enhance patient care.- Assist in clinical procedures and clinical management of patients.- Have a good working knowledge of current infection control procedures, complaints, accident reporting, waste management, storage and administration of drugs.- Be familiar with the laws and policies relating to the ordering, safe custody and administration of drugs.- Be an effective listener for all patients when the need arises and refer appropriately.- Encourage multi-disciplinary activity within the unit.- Develop skills through competencies in relation to dermatology.- To report to the team any accidents/incidents or complaints which occur within the Service.- To keep abreast of updated clinical practice guidelines and policies.
