Reporting to the Director, Product & Market Development, the Derivatives Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for the commercial development of derivatives product line. Client facing, the candidate is expected to maintain strong relationships with all product stakeholders (especially those external to QSE) helping facilitate the successful launch of derivatives exchange. In addition to the commercially driven responsibilities, the candidate shall work closely with the regulators and internal stakeholders to onboard brokers, market makers and clearing members. As an experienced hire and specialist, the Derivatives Business Development Manager shall provide training to QSE staff on the mechanics of derivatives markets.
Key AccountabilitiesProducts:
Supporting relationship building with new and potential customers of derivatives products
Informing and educating customers about new derivative products
Collecting feedback to identify potential improvements and new product opportunities
Intermediary Development:
Supporting relationship building with Market Makers, Brokers and Clearing Members
Fostering dialogue to receive feedback and sentiment to identify potential improvements in onboarding
requirements, products etc.
Providing operational advisory to intermediaries on topics such as new product setup and launches
Operational Support:
Providing assistance (where needed) to CCP and Operations department for clearing and settlement
