Database Administrator | OCA or OCP certified |RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages business applications user accounts in terms of creating, modifying and disabling
Quarterly validates user accounts and information and communicates to management
Interacting with application team to deploy new developments and handling version control
Interacting with System team to verify Database and applications backups are done successfully
Provides application users with customized reports when requested
Interacting with Application vendors for any technical clarifications or support
Investigate and analyze the root causes of database incidents independently
Provide recommendations for any potential enhancements in the database environment based on analysis of database utilization trends
Coach and train Junior DBA
Identifies needs and improvement opportunity within scope and uses innovative solutions to facilitate changeor improvement at the functional and business application users on divisions level
Managing and administering organization databases which includes: availability, performance optimization, security, backup & restore andauditing
Responsible for user security on DB and business applications levels
Installation of server-side DB software
Troubleshooting Database and Application server issues.
Prepares testing/ development environment for Application team
Shall be responsible and compliance with ABA IT Divisions security policies; protection of ABA IT Divisions information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction and/or interference thereby ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information; and the reporting of security events, potential incidents and/or other threats.
Provides inputs towards the short and medium term strategic planning process for Database Section
Facilitates the achievement of short term and medium term strategic goals of DB Section
