Job Description

The Job Holder is responsible for the selection and recruitment of qualified officers and crew to meet the operations and manning standards agreed with clients and provided by Safety Ship Management Standards in line with Company crewing procedures.Responsibilities:

  • Selecting crew for vessels managed by the Company, while complying with national and international rules and regulations.
  • Monitoring the screening of personnel for drug and alcohol abuse.
  • Following up on crew documentation?(licenses, certificates etc.).
  • Monitoring/ following up the vessels crew complement?according to Minimum Safe Manning regulations and STCW.
  • Coordination crew changes according to the leave plans, crew requirements,s or emergencies in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Visiting vessels when applicable.
  • Monitoring / following up the performance of the crew in connection with safety control/management?standards and investigating/handling queries by the crew respectively problems between the ships command and the crew (if any) and reporting to clients if applicable.
  • Monitoring of rest time hours and their compliance?with MLC, flag and international requirement
  • Arranging office pre-joining crew briefings, if needed.
  • Monitoring and analyzing accidents and incidents in cooperation with the DPA.
