Job Description

We are currently seeking a Category Executive (Meat) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a Category Executive, you will be responsible for managing the meat category, including procurement, pricing, and inventory management. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices. Additionally, you will analyze market trends and customer preferences to develop strategies that drive sales and maximize profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of the meat industry.Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  2. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, contract terms, and promotional opportunities.
  3. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth.
  4. Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
  5. Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal product availability while minimizing waste.
  6. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to develop and execute category plans.
  7. Track and report on key performance metrics, including sales, margin, and inventory turnover.
  8. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in category management, preferably in the meat industry.
  2. Bachelor in Business Administration/ Management
  3. GCC Driving Licences is Mandatory
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions.
  5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  6. Proven track record of successfully managing a category and achieving sales targets.
  7. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with category management software is a plus.
  9. Knowledge of local market trends and regulations in the meat industry is preferred.
  10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
