Job Description

Strategic Business Planning:

  • Proficiency in modern business planning techniques, including:
  • Delphi Method: Facilitating structured expert consensus to address complex planning challenges and forecast industry trends.
  • Scenario Planning: Developing and analyzing multiple future scenarios to prepare the organisation for uncertainties such as market shifts, regulatory changes, and climate impact.
  • Balanced Scorecard: Implementing frameworks to link strategic objectives with measurable performance indicators.
  • Design Thinking: Using customer-centric and iterative approaches to innovate and improve business models, products, and services.
  • Agile Planning: Adopting adaptive planning methodologies to rapidly respond to evolving business conditions.
  • Expertise in aligning these planning methods with industry challenges such as decarbonisation, digital transformation, and evolving customer expectations.
Corporate Project Management:
  • Leadership in delivering high-impact corporate initiatives, employing best practices in project management, including Six Sigma, to drive efficiency and innovation.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with a focus on achieving outcomes that align with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Corporate Performance Management:
  • Expertise in designing and implementing corporate performance management frameworks, including:
  • Establishing systems to monitor and measure organisational performance against strategic goals and KPIs.
  • Using advanced analytics and digital dashboards for real-time performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensuring alignment between individual, departmental, and organisational objectives to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Developing strategies to address performance gaps and leverage opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Ability to foster a performance-driven culture that supports long-term organisational excellence.
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM):
  • Extensive experience in establishing and managing a consolidated risk register, integrating strategic and operational risk management practices.
  • Proficiency in embedding enterprise risk management frameworks to enhance organisational resilience and address challenges such as regulatory compliance, climate change, and technological transformation.
Excellence:
  • Strong capability in implementing and maintaining the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) model to achieve operational excellence, improve organisational performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use EFQM principles to align processes and outcomes with the organisation?s strategic objectives and values.
Sector Expertise and Leadership:
  • Deep knowledge of the utilities sector, including regulatory environments, emerging trends, and innovation opportunities.
