Job Description

Job SummaryThe Assistant Surveyor provides a quantity surveying service across a range of projects under the guidance of Senior Surveyor to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.Job Responsibilities 1Principal Accountabilities

  • Assists in analyzing, measuring and inspecting properties and sites to establish property boundaries.
  • Works with Senior Surveyor in determining longitudes and latitudes of important features and boundaries in survey areas.
  • Records the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land.
Job Responsibilities 2
  • Obtains and expands knowledge base on all Civil and Building related matters as relate to specific projects. Through the achievement of this all commercial and contractual matters.
  • Analyzing specifications, drawings, BOQ etc.
  • Ensures to do the necessary quantity take off.
  • Preparation of Bill of Quantity
2.?Administration of Subcontractors and use of company procedures
  • Assisting the quantity surveyor by providing all the site progress details & in preparing subcontractor / supplier payment.
  • Ensures to prepare all required documentation for changes to the scope of the works of Subcontractors these are to be accompanied by signed off Variation Orders
  • Ensures to follow up with site construction team & technical team for collecting the progress details
  • Ensures to follow up with subcontractors? for their interim applications and quotations
3.?Record Maintenance
  • Ensures maintaining all the commercial logs & records for documents
? 4.?General & Ongoing Responsibilities
  • Ensures that all financial / commercial and Contractual Procedures have been complied with.
Job Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of mathematics, survey computer programs, and survey computations applicable to the work
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of land surveying
  • Knowledge of land surveying activities and techniques
  • Knowledge of engineering sketches, maps and drawings
