With a global audience of millions, the English website of Al Jazeera Media Network covers the world from a unique angle, with a focus on the human story. The selected candidate will join our award-winning digital team and will deepen our focus on the global south, across all online platforms.Key Responsibilities:* Responsible for writing accurate copy, uploading stills, uploading video and original reporting when assigned.* Pitches original ideas and treatments for editorial coverage on a daily basis, and produces news from across the world.* Ensures all copy and content is consistent with Al Jazeera?s editorial standards and brand of journalism* You?ll be a key part of a team that covers the Middle East and North Africa region from Doha, pushing boundaries, evolving with and being one step ahead of digital trends.Key Requirements:* You have at least 1-2 years of experience in writing, producing and reporting in a newsroom as a web journalist at the national or international level.* You are passionate about global current affairs and multimedia reporting across Digital platforms.* You are calm under pressure and work well with a wider team.* You are fluent in English and preferably Arabic.
