JOB DESCRIPTION-Shall provide assistance to the Chef for a wide number of functions in the kitchen.-Shall act as a second in command and may be responsible for running the kitchen in the Chef?s absence.-To follow and complete any instructions given by the Property Manager.-Set up and close down the kitchen according to the set procedure.-Assist in the preparation of cooking ingredients including preparation of salads and desserts.-Prepare food using established production procedures and systems as implemented in the compound.-Follow and implement the kitchen safety regulations-Maintain stock levels for all food items and inform the Chef of any shortages.-Store food properly and safely, marking date and item.-Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.-Assist the Chef in planning for new menus.
