Offering a 6-year MD program, it will admit the first cohort of students in Fall 2015 with the vision to educate the future leaders of Qatars healthcare system.The College is fully aligned with Qatars national strategies in Education and Health, as well as Qatar Universitys strategic plan including a growing focus on, and extensive opportunities for, high-quality research. Commissioned by HH the Emir of Qatar and established based on a thorough feasibility study conducted by a group of national and international experts, the College of Medicine is guided by an advisory board with senior representation from top-tier universities such as Johns Hopkins University, Stanford University, American University of Beirut andother noteworthy institutions. It holds its members to the highest levels of professionalism and international quality standards with the aim of building a program that is at the forefront of medical education.Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong commitment to teaching, with proficiency in teaching medical biochemistry.
• Contributes to the enhancement and development of other medical courses.
• Promoting collaborative and interdisciplinary research in areas of priority for the medical college.
• Fostering a supportive environment for students.
• Fostering academic and interdisciplinary research links with the relevant departments and centers at the University.
• Promoting and communicating the work of College to the public through a variety of community outreach activities, including workshops, lectures, publications, etc.
• Participates in the formulation and implementation of the Colleges strategic plan in alignment with the strategic plan of the University.
• Other duties as assigned.
