Objectives: The Assistant Accountant will be managing personal accounts and investment portfolios.Main responsibilities:- Record investment activities, including conducting audits, preparing valuation materials, managing aspects related to general ledger accounting- Designing and controlling systems of records, auditing books, and preparing financial statements- Providing tax advice and preparing tax returns when necessary including advising on when to file to avoid penalties- Handle personal bookkeeping such as recording transactions as they occur- Review financial records for accuracy, efficiency and compliance with current laws- Prepare financial statements and advise on where money may be saved or revenue increased
