Job Description

˙Duties and Responsibilities:Account Payable??˙3-way match, process invoices, record transactions in ERP system?˙Knowledge of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes? Familiarity with purchase order processes

  • Responsible for issuing cheques and preparation of Bank Files
  • Reviews appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment for non-PO invoices
  • Experience in an Accounts Payable and General Accountant job function
  • Handle vendor inquiries and resolve related issues
  • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files
  • Assists in monthly closings
  • Prepared account analyses necessary for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing
  • Reconcile the balance in the subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger
  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system
  • Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed
  • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
  • Investigate the potential obsolescence of fixed assets
  • Part of the periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets
  • Part of the periodic physical counts of fixed assets
  • Recommend to management whether fixed assets should be disposed of
  • Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management
  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries
  • Performs other duties as assigned
