Job Description

The center seeks to fill several research positions with potential candidates showing ability and desire for excellence in materials research. The candidates must have vast experience and in-depth knowledge in any of the following areas: coatings surface engineering light alloys polymers composites biomaterials smart materials self-healing materials nanomaterials multifunctional materials graphene metamaterials photovoltaic materials hydrogen storage materials materials for extreme environments electrochemistry corrosion corrosion & scale inhibitors tribology computational materials machine learning in materials selection and design Job Responsibility

  • Developing research ideas and write research proposals.
  • Conduct basic and applied research.
  • Develop advanced products and technology.
  • Attract talented graduate students and post-docs.
  • Publish manuscripts in high-impact journals.
  • Present in local/international conferences and technical meetings.
  • Submit patent applications and attempt technology commercialization.
  • Build competencies in the materials area.
Compensation & Benefits

Qualifications
  • A Ph.D. degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • In-depth knowledge and a strong record of published research in one or more of the areas described in the .
  • Experience in supervising the research of graduate students or have industrial experience in the respective areas.
