Operations Manager for EPC Company

Job Description

a)Ensure that jobs are completed correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance to customer build specification and quality requirements.b)Communicate with all the relevant people / dpts and coordinate all relevant inputs (people, plans and processes) to ensure projects are progressing on time, and the turnover targets are achieved.c)Plan, schedule and review workload to ensure projects are progressing on time in a cost effective manner.d)Ensure that the operations shop site has the necessary manpower, competence, skill, knowledge, plans and tools required in order to achieve the project?s turnover targets.e)Request and follow up materials procurement to ensure material is purchased cost effectively and are available on time.f)Manage the Inventory function /stock control in collaboration with procurement, estimation and cost controls specialists to ensure that all requested and/or required material are delivered, stored and transferred correctly and that the company?s stock inventory is accurate for the ongoing projects.g)Set, monitor & review work load schedule on regular basis to ensure that the planned progress is achieved.h)Adjust the execution schedule as required and communicate any change to turnover date with the clients accordingly.i)Ensure that all stages of projects? related activity are time and cost efficient and effective.j)Ensure all projects? equipment, tools, etc. are maintained & repaired in a timely manner.k)Ensure work, processes, equipment being used and the working environments are all conducive to proper work environment.l)Ensure that deficient or non-conformance work is rectified as high priority and that client?s representatives are kept informed accordingly.m)Ensure the correct non conformance paperwork is raised and processed for every deficiency.n)Follow up in collaboration and coordinating estimations and cost controls and procurement all inventory management activitieso)Ensure all incoming materials in collaboration and coordinating estimations and cost controls and procurement are processed, stored and managed appropriately according to company procedure.p)Ensure materials are ready and available for all projects as and when required.q)Ensure in collaboration and coordinating estimations and cost controls and procurement that any materials that are late or holding up work progression for whatever reason are chased and followed up until received.r)Ensure that procurement contracts processes are received back and that suppliers are chased if late.s)Ensure that finished projects are turned over/completed according to the agreed date.t)Ensure in collaboration and coordination with HR Manager that all recruitments and employments are carried out in accordance to company procedure and in compliance with current employment law.u)Establish in collaboration and coordination with HR Manager that goals and objectives for self and team are implemented accordingly to improve job performance, experience, ability and competence.v)Be aware of and promote manufacturing best practice and performance standards.w)Develop and monitor performance standards at operations and projects sitesx)Implement, monitor and review in collaboration and coordination with HR Manager training and development plans.y)Monitor, review and address in collaboration and coordination with HR Manager personnel under performance, maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures.z)Conduct and record in collaboration and coordination with HR Manager annual performance appraisals.aa)Ensuring in collaboration and coordination with HR Manager that the appropriate systems and processes are in place to measure and manage staff performance and to coach and develop a high performance workforce.bb)Maintain proactive, dynamic and effective communication with customers at all times.cc)Offer flexible and helpful customer service to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.dd)Promote & maintain awareness and compliance of HS&E in accordance with best practice and legal requirement.Person Specification:1)Possess a broad background in mechanical engineering / manufacturing with a wide range of knowledge on projects management processes2)Possess experience of sub contract environment.3)Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering & technical drawings.4)Have a working understanding of procurement5)Have a working understanding of quality management systems.6)Have a working understanding of health, safety and environment best practice and legislation.7)Strong problem solving skills & projects?
