Lead and coordinate the engineering activates related to the wayside subsystems, such as: Power supply, Platform Screen Doors, Track Switches, Depot Equipment, and Communication and SCADA.To coordinate and manage the deliverables of the technical compliance of the wayside scope from preliminary and detailed design completion, delivery, testing and commissioning through to final approval/acceptance.Ensure that all associated activities to wayside scope are undertaken to the specified technical requirements timescales, standards and customer s requirements.Key Responsibilities:Provides leadership and direction to the staff of wayside subsystems Lead Engineers. Ensures adherence to engineering processes to provide the engineering activates related to wayside scope of work.Ensure timely delivery of all technical deliverables including Design Reports, Design Coordination Reports, Test Reports/Documents, Safety Reports, spares, special tools and training as required for Wayside scope.Coordinates communication of Engineering project status and issues with Engineering Management, Project Management, and Site Management. Also coordinates conflict resolution across project in conjunction with Project Management and/or Engineering Management.Develops the Wayside Engineering group to achieve full potential and maximum contributions to the team. Creates and implements plans to improve employee skills, motivation and engagement.Identifies and implements process improvements relating to Engineering project leadership and coordination.Front line for technical approval by client of Wayside design. Ensure that comments received from the client and other partners/division are assessed, challenged where required, addressed, in timely manner and compliant to ensure that related payment milestones are met.QualificationsEngineering preferred or equivalent education and experienceDetailed knowledge of monorail vehicle and depot equipment systems will be a plusPrevious experience in a relevant role, ideally in transportation / manufacturing industry (railway, automotive, aerospace etc.) or a similar technical/engineering industry;Familiar with BT engineering processesDemonstrated & positive leadership capabilitiesLanguage skills: English and Arabic at advanced/business fluent level is mandatory
