Leads the Scholarships and Exchange Program Department, overseeing the administration of all AMIDEAST Egypt scholarship and exchange programs while initiating and implementing new and innovative programs that serve the people of Egypt, all of which are funded through U.S. government grants, private grants, or individual fee-for-service payments Grant activities include announcing, recruiting, selecting, and administering programs while managing budgets, making strategic decisions regarding approach and processes, and building a strong networks with partners.Responsibilities:Oversee the effective implementation of all grant programs including announcements, recruitment, selection, placement, orientations, specialized programming, scholarship monitoring, and ensure client satisfaction.Foster collaborative working relationships with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and with public and private sector educational institutionsManage customer and donor relationships to ensure continuous satisfaction of the results of the running projects.Oversee certification process including proposing fees, budgeting costs, accurate management of all program details, and customer satisfaction.Train, develop, evaluate and coach department staff for achieving departmental goals and in line with AMIDEAST s mission, vision, and values.Ensure that all department processes are efficient and effective.Set department strategies, yearly objectives and KPIsIdentify and implement approaches to build on AMIDEAST s current programs to develop institutional capacity and initiate new programsDevelop and monitor budgets for all exchange programsSupervise and motivate exchange program staff and build connections with other AMIDEAST departments (English Language, Testing, Finance, Customer Service)Prepare and submit accurate and timely technical, statistical, and financial reports to partners, donors, and AMIDEAST HQ.Ensure accurate management and monitoring of grant agreements.Coordinate with AMIDEAST HQ, AMIDEAST Alexandria, and other AMIDEAST field offices as needed.Conduct outreach activities including public speaking, media interviews and other opportunities to promote awareness of AMIDEAST programs.Actively network with local and international organizations and institutions involved in exchange programs and keep abreast of changes and developments in Egyptian public and private education at the highest levels to identify opportunities for AMIDEAST.Set and update department manuals and related forms.Qualifications and Skills:Required:Bachelor s degreeMinimum of five years related project management experience in the development sectorExperience leading and managing a teamNative speaker level fluency in spoken and written EnglishOral fluency in ArabicExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skillsDemonstrative creativity and initiativeAbility to organize and maintain large amounts of detailed informationAbility to multi-task and prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to work independently and accept responsibilityExcellent computer literacy in MS OfficePreferred:Bachelor s or master s degree from a U.S. or Canadian universityGraduate degree in education, international development or other relevant fieldExperience administering Egyptian and/or U.S. education and exchange activitiesExcellent written ArabicProject Management Professional Certification (PMP) or Project Management for Development (PMD Pro)This position description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the incumbent will perform other reasonable business-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other managers when necessary.
