General responsibilities? Responsible for building and maintaining an inventory of consumables and non-consumable school materials including, but not limited to:? Furniture? Consumable teaching supplies such as pencils, crayons, markers, and paper? Non-consumable teaching supplies including science equipment, learning resources, and sport equipment? All books, including library resources and textbooks? General office supplies? Cleaning supplies and equipment? Materials required for the maintenance of the building and hygiene? Supplies for maintenance and upkeep of the building, transportation, and equipment? Barcode assets, such as books, furniture, and science supplies, conducting semi-annual and/or annual inventories of all non-consumable assets? Responsible for creating a list of local suppliers to supply school requests on a regular basis, including all contact and billing information, discounts available, and more? Arrange multiple bids for supplies when directed while presenting recommendations to line management regarding suppliers and supplies? Maintain any contracts or purchase agreements with suppliers? Ensure that all orders have been approved according to school procedures? Ensure that all materials received are what was ordered and in good condition? Ensure that all procurement is done in a timely, cost-efficient manner? Be mindful of health and safety with regards to shipping and handling of certain supplies such as chemicals, and ensure that storage of supplies is done in a safe, organised manner in keeping with health and safety regulations and awareness? Delivering materials to offices, classrooms, or departments in keeping with school procedures as well as in a safe and timely manner? Assist in the coordination of any annual overseas order
