Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE ROLETo support the System Integration/Interface Lead/Manager and interfaceengineers to develop and implement the System Integration activities relatedfunctions covering Sub-Systems (Power Supply, Communications / SCADA, Switches,Platform Screen Doors and Depot) and interfaces with Vehicles, Signaling,Services and civil Infrastructure.This position is required to lead the integration and the interfacerequirements with Civil partners, 3rd party subcontractors and the Client. Theposition will provide engineering interface between design Engineers indifferent locations. Focus is on interface of M&E subsystems to Civil worksdrawings. The duties and responsibilities of this position shall include, butnot limited to:- Support to defining turkey system configuration- To control the external reference drawings, baseline and their revisions- To produce the CAD Manual and manage its implementation- Lead to produce the M&E Combined Service Drawing- Lead the production of ICD/Interface Drawings-Lead/review the production of cable routing/ cable containment/equipmentlayout by BT sub-system and external suppliers-Interface Definition and Management within BT sub-systems, and between BTscope and Civil Contractor scope for engineering activities-Support Installation-Testing & Commissioning Manager function for theinstallation drawing control, definition of strategy and management plan forTesting & commission and Handover.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-Support the day-to-day project activities for the System Integration team.Develop and perform the System Integration deliverables such as ICDs, ICD Drawings, M&E CSD, DCIMs, CAD Manual, ExternalBaseline Configurations, Design interface matrix, etc. and coordinate thisdeliverable production with each subsystem lead engineer (Signaling, RollingStock, Platform Screen Doors, Switches, Communication and SCADA, Depot, PowerSupply and Traction, Civil interface, etc.), Ensure that the System IntegrationDeliverables are delivered according to the agreed quality standards and therequirements. Ensure that Engineering best practices are implemented as well asproduct safety standards are maintained to their highest level.-Provide in depth technical expertise in field of specialization to resolveproblems of unusual complexity in a cost effective and timely manner.-Develop and present technical presentations in response to clienttechnology related questions/inquiries.-Interface and coordinate with the design team and system assurance team toinsure consistency with established processes.-Interact with the customer, other contractors. Suppliers, and vendors (asrequired) to ensure that requirements for system integration and interface arecommunicated. Interface with partners and subsystems to ensure BombardierInterface requirements are understood and met-Support the System Integration/interface team to coordinate the systemengineering process between Bombardier and the civil contractor on behalf ofBombardier by managing the production of the combined service drawing.-Managing the CAD team to coordinate system engineering design activitiesto ensure successful integration for earthing and bonding, stray current, EMC/EMIand noise and vibration prospectiveQualificationsREQUIREMENTS-Bachelor degree inEngineering-Previous experience in arelevant role, ideally in transportation / manufacturing industry (railway,automotive, aerospace etc.) or a similar technical/engineering industry;-Experience working in CADmanagement and strong knowledge in CAD baseline control and coding,-Language skills: English and Arabicat advanced/business fluent level is mandatory
